What's going to go down in a word of inquiry?
Nothing in this world
is old. Everything is new. We can turn something new into something old. By
using and cleaning the products in our care every day, the products will always
remain fresh. The shine of products that are cleaned daily is more visible than
that of new products. Our care and use will not make any item obsolete.
We thought we could
sell the old bicycle and buy a new one. When asked what the price would be,
they said that the price would be one-third of the current selling price. In
terms of amount, they said that they will get a price between 1700 and 2000.
So we dropped off an
old bicycle at a bicycle repair shop, thinking that we could refurbish the old
one. It was only when we renewed it that we came to know that the fee was close
to Rs 2000. The bicycle repairer had come up with the cost of refurbishing the
bicylce at whatever price the bicycle would go for. He did not have to change
the tires and tubes of the bicycle. But he had changed. He had removed many
good parts and added new parts.
We should have asked
for a word about how much it would cost. We carelessly made a calculation that
it would be within a thousand, but it went wrong. He changed many parts of the
bicycle to his liking and claim him six hundred rupees as wages. All together,
two thousand rupees have claimed as cost. It gives you the experience of having
to ask in advance what the proposed cost of anything will be.
Asking for an expense
account, inquiring about the price of an item and then buying it, initially
made us feel shy and hesitant. It was also understood that this was caused by
our habits. Gradually we have now developed the habit of asking for the price
of the product and then buying it. Similarly, we have formed the habit of
buying by asking how much it will cost to do a job. We have also developed the
habit of asking four or five people who know the details whether it will
actually cost that much. It helps us in many ways. It helps to know the real
value of a product, a job. I hope this habit will definitely help you too.
