Show me a block without liquor stores!
The word block may not be understood by some
people. I think everyone will understand when I say taluk.
In Tamilnadu a block or taluk is 10 to 20
square kilometers in area. It has a minimum of one to a maximum of fifty liquor
stores.
If my calculations are correct there is an
average of one liquor store per five villages. A liquor store can be seen
gathering people the size of ten villages.
These liquor shops have ruined the health of
the Tamil people by making them drink alcohol drinks. A generation has emerged
that drinks alcohol like water.
The habit of drinking alcohol like tea in the
morning has spread to many people. From being alcoholics, many have become
alcoholic patients.
The habit of watching television serials
during daytime among women and the habit of drinking alcohol during daytime
among men is increasing day by day.
They began to see earning money as a license to
drink. They take all the money they earn to the liquor store.
Now the people of Tamil Nadu need liquor like
fuel for the engine if they want to start a job. If you want to do that job
continuously, you have to keep pouring alcohol like fuel from time to time.
They still need alcohol after work.
A stopped machine does not need fuel, but
these men always need alcohol, whether it is running or not. Alcoholism is
becoming a permanent epidemic plaguing Tamil Nadu.
